About the 16 Megapixel 256 Channel 8K NVR with 16 HDD Slots
This is the largest recorder in the range, and the number to pay attention to is not 256. It is sixteen. The same bay count that serves the 128-channel model supports twice as many cameras here, so storage per camera becomes the design constraint and needs settling before purchase rather than after. Everything else scales properly: camera input up to 16MP, H.265S compression, face detection and comparison, licence plate recognition, tripwire and intrusion analytics, POS overlay, 4K output and full web or CMS management. Send us the camera list and the retention target and we will size it honestly.
Key benefits
- Two hundred and fifty-six channels on one platform, instead of a wall of recorders.
- H.265S compression is doing real work at this scale, not just filling a datasheet.
- Face detection and comparison plus plate recognition apply across the entire deployment.
- Third-party IP camera compatibility supports projects assembled over several years.
- Multiple simultaneous users with individual authorisation levels suit a shift-based team.
- Web client and CMS access allow oversight from outside the control room itself.
Where it works well
- City-scale housing scheme monitored from a central control room
- Large industrial park with multiple factory tenants
- Cargo or bonded facility needing wide continuous coverage
- University campus consolidating several buildings onto one platform
- Retail chain aggregating recordings from multiple Lahore branches

Frequently asked questions
Are sixteen bays enough for 256 cameras?
That is the right question to ask, and the answer depends on resolution, frame rate, whether recording is continuous or event-driven, and how many days you must keep. Deployments at this scale frequently mix continuous recording on critical channels with event-based recording elsewhere. Give us the camera mix and retention requirement and we will work the numbers before you commit.
Would several smaller recorders be better than one large one?
Sometimes. One recorder gives a single review point and one set of user permissions, but it also concentrates the system into one box. Several units spread that risk while adding management overhead. In practice the network layout and cable distances usually decide it, so we look at the site plan first.
How many staff can use it at once?
Multiple users can be online simultaneously, and the authorisation management lets you separate what a guard, a supervisor and a manager can each see and do. That matters at this scale, where export and deletion rights should not sit with everyone. We set those roles up during commissioning.
What should be on the UPS?
More than the recorder. If the switches and cameras drop, the recorder stays alive with nothing to record, which is a common and expensive oversight. Plan backup power across the recorder, core switches and the PoE edge, and talk to us about sizing it for your load.
