Installation Is the Part That Decides Whether the System Works
Two houses can buy the same cameras and the same recorder and end up with completely different results. The difference is almost never the box — it is where the camera was mounted, how the cable was routed, whether the junction box was sealed before monsoon, and whether the recorder was left on a circuit that dies during load shedding.

1. Survey and camera positions
We walk the property with you and mark each position — gate, main door, side walls, roof stairs, store, counter, back exit. You see the intended field of view before anything is drilled.
2. Route and rack planning
We decide where the recorder lives, how cable reaches it, and whether a mid-point PoE switch is cheaper than a long run. On finished houses we agree the visible casing route with you first.
3. Written quotation

4. Cabling
Conduit in fresh construction, casing or roof-level routing in retrofits, glanded outdoor boxes, and cable labelled at both ends so the next person can trace it.
5. Mounting and aiming
Brackets fixed into solid material, cameras aimed and locked, IR checked at night rather than assumed, and privacy masking applied where a view clips a neighbour's space.
6. Recorder configuration
Hard disk formatted and health checked, recording schedule and retention set, admin and viewing accounts created separately, and mobile viewing tested on your own phones.
7. Handover

Cable Routes in Real Lahore Buildings
Retrofitting an already-plastered house is the normal case, not the exception. Once the walls are finished, the honest options are surface casing, a roof-level route down to each position, or chasing a limited number of walls and making good afterwards. We show you the intended route before starting so there are no surprises on your painted lounge wall.
Distance matters more than most buyers expect. On a kanal or two kanal plot in DHA or Model Town, the run from the front gate to the recorder position regularly approaches or crosses the 100 metre Ethernet limit. The correct fix is a PoE switch near the gate or a second distribution point, not a longer cable that will drop the camera intermittently for years. If your site needs a proper backbone, our structured cabling team plans it as one system rather than as an afterthought.
If you are still at grey structure, get the conduit laid before plaster. It is the single biggest saving available on a new build, and it is the one decision you cannot revisit later.
Load Shedding, Solar and Surge — Designed In, Not Discovered Later
LESCO consumers across Lahore continue to report both scheduled and unscheduled outages, along with low-voltage and fluctuation complaints in several localities. A camera system that ignores this records everything except the moments people ask about.
Get the recorder onto the backed-up circuit
Rooftop solar and hybrid inverters are now common in Lahore homes, so the survey question is no longer whether you have backup — it is whether the NVR, PoE switch and router sit on the backed-up side of the DB or the raw grid side.
A small system is a small load
An eight-camera PoE setup draws very little compared with fans and air conditioning, so it can usually ride an existing inverter once the circuit is moved. That move is electrical work we coordinate at installation.
No inverter? Size a dedicated mini-UPS
The recorder, the PoE switch and the router together, sized for the outage window you actually get on your feeder — not just the recorder on its own.
Keep the internet alive too
If the router and ONU lose power, recording continues but remote viewing and app alerts die. Owners overseas or at another branch notice this immediately, so we put the internet gear on backup as standard.
Surge protection and earthing
Long external runs on roofs and boundary walls are exposed to lightning and switching surges, and generator changeover adds electrical noise. Surge protection and a proper earth on rooftop and pole runs are worth the small cost.
Sites with no power at all
Empty plots, under-construction houses, farmland and boundary walls with no drop are the honest case for a solar and 4G camera rather than a cabled system.

- Cable, conduit and accessories — Cable to the measured length, casing or conduit, junction boxes, glands, connectors, brackets and fixings — quoted as line items, not hidden in a lump sum.
- Mounting and cable pulling — Drilling, fixing, routing and dressing, with debris cleared at the end of the day.
- Recorder and network setup — Disk formatting, recording schedule, retention target, user accounts, and mobile viewing configured on your devices.

Installing Hardware You Bought Yourself
Plenty of clients buy cameras from a market or receive a system from a family member abroad and just need it fitted properly. We do that work at an installation-only rate — send us the model codes and quantities on WhatsApp and we will confirm suitability before quoting.
Two honest cautions. First, the hardware warranty stays with whoever sold it to you; we cannot claim on your behalf. Second, if a camera is the wrong type for the position — an indoor unit intended for a boundary wall, or a narrow-lens model for a wide driveway — we will say so at survey rather than fit it and let you find out in three months.
Permissions, Neighbours and Shared Streets
Inside your own boundary wall — walls, gate pillars, roof parapet, porch — no external approval is normally needed. Anything mounted on a shared pole, a street-light pole, a park railing, a society green belt or a common corridor is a different matter and usually needs written permission from the society or authority concerned. In DHA that is DHA’s own building control side, in a cooperative society such as Model Town it is the society office, in Bahria Town it is the management, and in Cantt areas it is the Cantonment Board.
Street-light and distribution poles belong to LESCO or the local government, not to the resident, whatever the common practice on your lane may be. Street-mouth cameras funded jointly by a lane’s residents are a normal Lahore pattern in DHA, Model Town, Johar Town and Iqbal Town — they work best with a written scope, a nominated custodian for footage, and a clear answer on who pays for the internet and electricity.
The most common local dispute is a camera that overlooks a neighbour’s courtyard or a family area. We aim tight to your own property and apply privacy masking as standard practice.

How much does CCTV installation cost in Lahore?
It depends on camera count, cable lengths, whether the building is finished or under construction, and how much backup and surge protection is included. How long does an installation take?
A four to six camera house or a small shop is usually a single day. A kanal house with a rack, PoE switch and long external runs is commonly one to two days. Factories, schools and multi-storey buildings are phased and the schedule is written into the quotation.
Do I need to be present during installation?
Someone who can approve the cable route and the camera angles should be on site, especially at the start. The final handover needs the person who will use the system day to day, since that is when playback, clip export and app access are set up on their phone.
Will the system keep recording during load shedding?
Only if the recorder and its network gear are on a backed-up supply. If you have a hybrid inverter we move that circuit to the backed-up side; if you do not, we quote a small dedicated UPS covering the recorder, the PoE switch and the router. Without this, recording stops exactly when it matters.
Can I view the cameras on my phone from another city or abroad?
Yes, and we configure and test it before leaving. Reliability depends on your ISP and how the connection is delivered, which is why we set it up on your actual internet rather than promising it will work. Our remote monitoring page explains the common obstacles on Pakistani connections.
Do you install in my area of Lahore?

What happens if a camera stops working after installation?
Message us with a photo of the recorder screen and we will usually identify the cause remotely. If a visit is needed we attend under our workmanship terms, and hardware faults are handled under the manufacturer's warranty. Our repair and maintenance service also covers systems outside warranty.
Is CCTV legally required for homes or shops in Lahore?
We are not aware of any published rule making CCTV compulsory for private homes or shops in Lahore, and we will not tell you otherwise to make a sale. Some directives do exist elsewhere and for specific sectors — a July 2026 order covered shopkeepers and markets in Faisalabad district, and FBR made surveillance camera installation mandatory for textile mills from 1 July 2026. If a rule applies to your specific trade or market association, we will work to that scope.
