Buying guide
CCTV Camera Price in Lahore
A breakdown of what you are paying for when you buy cameras in Lahore, how to read a quotation line by line, and how to compare two offers without being fooled by a low headline figure.
Three different questions hide inside one search
When someone in Lahore asks about CCTV camera price, they usually mean one of three things, and the honest answer is different for each.
The first is the price of a single camera as a box on a shelf. The second is the price of a working system: cameras, a recorder, a hard disk, power arrangement and the cable that ties it all together. The third is the delivered price at your gate, installed, configured and showing on your phone.
Much of the confusion in this market comes from comparing an answer to the first question with an answer to the third. A dealer quoting a camera-only figure and an installer quoting a turnkey figure are not competing on the same thing at all. This guide separates them so the number you receive from us makes sense to you.
What moves the price of the camera itself
Two cameras that look identical on a wall can sit far apart on a price list. These are the reasons.
Sensor and resolution
A 2MP camera, a 4MP camera and an 8MP 4K camera are different products with different sensors. Higher resolution also increases storage and bandwidth needs, so its cost effect reaches beyond the camera itself.
Night vision technology
Plain infrared is the entry point. Dual light models that switch between infrared and full colour, warm light models that record colour all night, and active deterrence models with a light and siren all sit above it.
Lens and coverage
A fixed lens is set at one field of view. A varifocal or motorised zoom lens lets you tighten the shot on site, which is what a long driveway or a gate at distance usually needs, and it carries a cost.
Body and build quality
Metal housings, vandal-resistant domes, proper cable glands and better weather sealing cost more and tend to last longer on a Lahore rooftop through monsoon and smog season.
Analog or IP
An HDCVI, AHD or TVI camera runs on coaxial cable to a DVR. A network camera runs on Cat6 to a PoE NVR or switch. The camera price is only part of the difference, because the supporting hardware differs too.
Smart features
Human and vehicle classification, line crossing alerts, auto tracking on a PTZ, and number plate reading on an LPR camera are all specialist functions that carry their own price positions.
Warranty and after-sales backing
A camera with a real warranty and a service path in Lahore is not the same product as an unbranded unit with no support.
Quantity on one order
A single camera and a forty camera project are quoted differently. If you are planning phases, tell us the full picture, because it changes how we can sharpen the overall figure.
Where the money goes in a complete system
Cameras are rarely the largest single share of a serious quotation. This is what a proper breakdown contains.
| Line item | What it covers | What decides the amount |
|---|---|---|
| Cameras | One per position, each specified for the job that position has to do | Resolution, night technology, lens type, body and smart features |
| Recorder (DVR or NVR) | Channels for today, plus headroom for later | Camera technology, channel count, built-in PoE ports, number of disk bays |
| Storage | Hard disk sized to the number of days you want to keep | Camera count, resolution, bitrate and whether recording is continuous or event based |
| Power and backup | Power supplies, a mini UPS, or a circuit taken from your inverter | Whether the recorder, switch and router must keep running through load shedding |
| Cable and containment | Full copper cable, conduit or surface casing, junction boxes and glands | Run lengths, whether walls are already plastered, roof and external routes |
| Network hardware | PoE switch, router port, IP addressing | Camera count, total PoE budget, distance from the rack |
| Labour and mounting | Fixing, routing, dressing, termination, testing and making good | Height, access, number of floors and how tidy the finish has to be |
| Configuration and handover | Recording schedule, motion rules, user accounts, mobile app setup | Number of viewers, remote access method, training required |
Why our listings say Contact for Price
Camera and recorder pricing in Pakistan is import-driven. It moves with the rupee, with duty, with shipping and with the particular stock lot a model arrives in. A price list published today can be wrong within weeks.
We would rather give you today’s real figure than defend an old one. Send the model code, or just describe the property, and you will get a current quotation on WhatsApp.
There is a second reason. A rupee figure only means something when you can see the line items behind it. A quotation that says eight cameras and a DVR with one total at the bottom is not a quotation, it is a guess with a signature line.
How to compare two CCTV quotations fairly
Run both offers through this list before you decide. Differences usually appear within the first three items.
- Model codes written in full — Not just 4MP bullet camera. The exact model, so you can look up its lens, its infrared range and its features.
- A specification per position — The gate camera and the store room camera should not be the same line item. If one line covers every position, someone has not surveyed the site.
- Recorder channels against camera count — An eight channel recorder fully loaded with eight cameras leaves you nothing for the camera you will want next year.
- Hard disk size with the retention it is meant to deliver — A disk size alone tells you nothing. It should be paired with a claim such as the number of days it targets at the chosen resolution and recording mode.
- Cable type stated clearly — Full copper or copper-clad aluminium changes both reliability and price, particularly on long PoE runs. Ask, and get it in writing.
- Conduit, casing, boxes and glands listed — Containment is where a low quotation quietly saves money, and where water gets in six months later.
- Power backup included or excluded — Check whether the recorder, the PoE switch and the router are covered, not just the recorder. All three matter during load shedding.
- Warranty scope and service path — What is covered, by whom, for how long, and who comes back to site when a camera stops responding.
- Tax and invoicing — If your business needs a proper invoice, confirm it at quotation stage rather than after the work is done.
Cheap now, expensive later: what usually fails first
A quotation that sits well below the rest is normally low for reasons that are invisible on day one and obvious on day two hundred. In Lahore conditions, these are the failures we get called out to most often.
Undersized cable on long runs. Copper-clad aluminium has higher resistance than full copper and can struggle to carry PoE power over distance. The usual symptom is a camera that reboots at night when infrared switches on. Replacing cable inside finished walls costs far more than buying the right cable first.
Storage undersized for the days you actually need. Footage is usually requested after somebody notices a loss, and that is rarely the same day. A disk that overwrites too quickly means the clip you needed is already gone.
No surge protection or earthing on external runs. Voltage fluctuation and lightning on rooftop and pole routes are a genuine failure mode here, and the damage tends to appear at recorder and switch ports rather than politely at the camera alone.
Backup that covers the recorder only. Recording may continue during load shedding, but if the router or ONU is dead, remote viewing and alerts stop. And if the recorder itself sits on the raw grid circuit, the outage window is exactly the footage you lose.
Cheap junction boxes and unsealed cable entries. A weather rating printed on a camera does little for you if the box beneath it is open at the bottom through monsoon.

Frequently asked questions
Why will you not put prices on the website?
Imported CCTV pricing moves with the rupee, duty and stock lots, so a published figure would go stale and mislead buyers. Send the model code or your property details on WhatsApp and you get the current figure instead of an old one.
Does a camera price include installation?
No. Hardware and installation are separate lines on our quotations so you can see both. What goes into the labour and materials side is explained in our CCTV installation cost guide for Lahore.
Is a 4MP camera worth the extra over 2MP?
For a gate, a counter or anywhere you need to recognise a face, the extra pixels usually earn their place. For a short indoor corridor they often do not. The right approach is to decide resolution per position rather than buying one resolution for the whole house.
Can I buy cameras only and arrange my own installer?
Yes, supply-only orders are welcome and we deliver across Pakistan. Tell us the site conditions anyway, because it costs nothing for us to flag a model that will not suit the position you have in mind.
Does a bigger order get a better rate?
Quantity is one of the factors we take into account when quoting, along with model mix and site work. Share the full project scope rather than one phase at a time so the figure reflects the real order.
How big a hard disk should I budget for?
Size the disk against the days of footage you want, not against a round number that sounds safe. Our guide on how many cameras you need includes the working method, and we run the calculation for your exact model list before quoting.
How do I know a low quotation is not hiding something?
Ask for model codes, cable type, containment and the backup arrangement in writing. Those four items are where cheap quotations are usually made cheap, and all four cost real money to fix afterwards.
