CCTV Installation Cost in Lahore
Installation is materials plus labour plus site difficulty. This guide explains each part, shows which Lahore site conditions move the figure, and lists what a written quotation should contain before you accept it.
Three buckets, not one number
Every honest installation figure is made of three things: the materials that stay in your building, the labour that puts them there, and the difficulty of your particular site.
Materials are cable, conduit or casing, junction boxes, glands, connectors, power supplies, racks and the backup arrangement. Labour is the time to route, fix, terminate, test, configure and hand over. Site difficulty is everything about your building that makes the same job take longer: height, plaster, floors, access rules and how tidy the finish must be.
A quotation that hides all three inside one lump sum is impossible to compare with anyone else’s. That is the practical reason we itemise, and it is also why two quotations for the same camera count can differ honestly without either party being dishonest.

Six Lahore site conditions that change the labour figure
Retrofit versus grey structure
Cabling a house before plaster is the cheapest CCTV work there is. The same house after paint means casing on finished walls or a roof-level route, and the labour reflects that. If you are building, get conduit in during grey structure.
Run lengths on kanal and larger plots
On a kanal or two kanal house the gate to recorder distance often approaches the 100 metre Ethernet limit. The right answer is a PoE switch or a second distribution point near the gate, which is a real line item rather than an upsell.
Height and access
Parapet mounts, high boundary walls, factory sheds and plaza frontages take longer and need safer access. Positions that can only be aimed properly after dark may need a second visit.
Number of floors and shared risers
Vertical runs in plazas and apartment buildings mean riser access, building management permission and careful routing so nothing is added to an already loaded shaft.
Power and backup work at the DB
Many Lahore homes now run a hybrid inverter with a battery bank. The job is usually to move the circuit feeding the recorder, PoE switch and router onto the backed-up side, plus surge protection and earthing on external runs.
Society and area access rules
Work inside your own boundary wall is routine. Anything on a shared pole, green belt, park railing or common corridor needs the relevant authority’s written permission, and arranging that affects scheduling rather than skill.

Recording schedule, detection rules, user accounts, mobile viewing for the right people, and a walkthrough of exporting a clip without disturbing the timeline.
What should be written on your quotation
- Camera positions listed individually — Each with the model intended for it, so you can see that the gate camera is not the same as the store room camera.
- Cable type and approximate total length — Full copper or otherwise, stated plainly. Long PoE runs on undersized cable are a common cause of cameras that reboot at night.
- Containment method per area — Conduit, casing or existing route. This is where quotations quietly differ and where finish quality is decided.
- Power arrangement and backup — Whether the recorder, PoE switch and router are on a UPS or on your inverter’s backed-up circuit, and who provides that.
- Storage and target retention — Disk size paired with the number of days it is intended to hold at the agreed recording mode.
- Exclusions in writing — Civil work, painting and making good, extra ladder or scaffolding requirements, internet provision, and anything needing society approval.
- Warranty and support terms — Hardware warranty scope and duration, workmanship cover, and the response arrangement for faults after handover.
- Invoicing requirements — Confirm your invoicing and tax documentation needs before work starts, not afterwards.
Customer-supplied hardware, maintenance and repeat visits
Installation-only jobs are accepted. If you have already purchased cameras and a recorder, we will install and configure them, and we will tell you honestly at survey if a component is not suited to the position you want it in.
The one thing to be clear about is warranty. Hardware you bought elsewhere is warranted by whoever supplied it. Our workmanship cover applies to our own installation work either way, and the terms are set out on the quotation.
For businesses that cannot afford a system to sit faulty, a maintenance arrangement covering periodic checks, disk health, camera cleaning and attendance for faults is usually a better structure than calling around when something breaks.
One practical note on scheduled visits: on busy roads, lenses and dome covers need cleaning more often than owners expect, and a planned visit catches that before anyone complains about a hazy night image.
Scope items people forget until the second visit
A monitor or display. Many buyers assume a screen is included. If you want a permanent display in a guard room, at a shop counter or in an office, it belongs on the quotation.
Making good and finishing. Drilling, patching and painting after cable routes are run is normally excluded unless someone has written it in. Agree who is doing it before work starts.
Access equipment. High parapets, factory sheds and plaza frontages sometimes need a ladder or scaffold that is not sitting in the van, and hiring it is a real cost rather than padding.
A second distribution point on large plots. Where the gate sits near the limit of a cable run, a switch or extender near the gate is what makes those cameras work at all.
Containment for the cameras you will add next. If phase two is likely, running spare conduit during phase one costs very little and saves reopening a finished wall.
A night visit for aiming. Some exterior positions can only be judged properly after dark, and that visit is better planned than argued about later.

Do I need permission to install cameras?
Inside your own boundary wall, normally not. Anything mounted on a shared pole, a society green belt, a park railing, a street-light pole or a common corridor typically needs written permission from the relevant authority, which may be the society office, DHA, the cantonment board or the local authority depending on where you are. Street-light and distribution poles belong to the utility or local government, not to residents.
Can you install cameras I bought from somewhere else?
Yes. Installation-only work is accepted, and we will flag at survey if a component is unsuited to the intended position. Hardware warranty in that case remains with the original seller, while our workmanship cover applies to our installation.
How long does a typical installation take?
A small shop or a compact house is often a single-day job. A kanal house with a full perimeter, or a multi-floor commercial site, usually runs longer and may need a night visit to aim exterior cameras correctly. The survey establishes the schedule before you commit.
What happens after handover if something stops working?
Contact us and we will diagnose it, remotely where possible and on site where not. We service systems installed by other companies too, so you are not stuck if your original installer is unreachable.
