About Thermal Cameras
Thermal cameras detect heat rather than light, so they see in complete darkness, through smoke and through the haze and fog that flattens an ordinary camera image on winter mornings in Lahore. Their strength is detection over distance across a perimeter — telling you that something warm is moving where nothing should be.
What thermal will not give you is an identifiable face or a readable number plate, because it is producing a heat map, not a picture. On the sites where it makes sense — factory boundaries, warehouse yards, large plots — it is normally paired with a conventional camera that confirms what the thermal unit detected.
