The dome version of Pollo's thermal and optical pairing places a 256 × 192 thermal sensor and a 2880 × 1620 optical camera behind one cover, which is often the preferred shape under a soffit, a canopy or a factory ceiling. Thermal readings run from −20 °C to 150 °C and can be displayed live on the stream, with alarms for temperature exceptions and fire backed by sound and light warning. The optical channel provides a 30 m infrared rating and full-colour night vision. Choose the dome where the camera should sit tight to a ceiling line, and the bullet where a clearly aimed camera is part of the deterrent.

Dome or bullet — which should I take?

The electronics are the same on both: a 256 × 192 thermal sensor, a 2880 × 1620 optical channel, a 30 m infrared rating and the same alarm functions. The choice is mounting and appearance. A dome sits flush under a ceiling or soffit and is less obtrusive; a bullet is easier to aim precisely along a wall and is more visible, which some sites want.

What does NETD ≤ 50 mK mean, and should I care?

NETD describes the smallest temperature difference the sensor can distinguish, so a lower figure means a cleaner image with less noise between objects at similar temperatures. At ≤ 50 mK this sensor separates a warm motor from its surroundings without the picture washing out. For general security detection it is more than adequate; for precision laboratory measurement it is not that class of instrument.

How do the two images appear together?

The camera supports combining thermal and visible views, and can overlay real-time temperature data on the stream.
