About the 4 Megapixel 45x AI PTZ Camera (800m IR)
Long-range perimeter work is what this PTZ is built for. The 45× optical zoom runs on a 5–225 mm varifocal lens and the infrared night view is rated to 800 m, so it belongs on boundaries and open ground rather than a courtyard. A 1/1.8" progressive CMOS with 0.0005 lux minimum illumination keeps daytime colour usable as the light drops. Face detection with capture and comparison, plus smart tracking of people and vehicles, are supported on board. The trade-off is resolution: this model records 2560 × 1440, so if you need 4K detail at full zoom, look at the 8 MP version of the same housing.
Key benefits
- 45× optical zoom across a 5–225 mm lens reaches subjects far beyond fixed cameras
- 800 m infrared rating is aimed at dark boundary lines and open plots
- 0.0005 lux minimum illumination with a 1/1.8" sensor holds colour detail in weak light
- Face detection and tracking of humans and vehicles reduce reliance on constant joystick operation
- Line crossing and region intrusion rules turn the camera into an active perimeter sensor
- IP67 sealing and single-cable PoE (IEEE802.3af) keep pole and parapet mounting straightforward
Where it works well
- Boundary wall of a farmhouse on Bedian Road, Lahore
- Perimeter of a factory plot in Sundar Industrial Estate
- Approach road and open ground at a housing society entrance
- Warehouse yard where trailers stand parked overnight
- Mast overlooking a wide canal-side commercial frontage

Frequently asked questions
Should I take this or the 8 MP version of the same 45× camera?
Both use the 5–225 mm lens, 45× optical zoom and the 800 m infrared rating, so the reach is identical. The difference is capture resolution: this model records 2560 × 1440 while the other records 3840 × 2160. If footage will be cropped and enlarged for identification, the 8 MP model gives you more to work with; for live observation and general evidence, 4 MP is lighter on storage.
Does an 800 m infrared rating mean I can identify a person at 800 m?
No. That figure describes how far the infrared illumination reaches, not the distance at which a face becomes recognisable. Real identification distance depends on zoom setting, haze, mounting height and how steady the mast is. We work out realistic distances for your specific site before you commit to anything.
What cabling and power does it need?
The specification lists PoE (IEEE802.3af), so one network cable carries both data and power from a suitable switch. Ethernet runs have practical length limits, which matters on large plots where the camera sits far from the equipment room. Send us a rough site plan on WhatsApp and we will mark where the network points should sit.
Will it record on the NVR I already own?
It supports the ONVIF protocol, which covers most third-party recorders and video management platforms. Compatibility still varies by brand and firmware, particularly for PTZ control and analytics events. Share your recorder's make and model and we will confirm what will work before anything is ordered.
How do I get a price?
PTZ pricing moves with the exchange rate and with what the installation involves, so we confirm it on WhatsApp at +92 300 0030132. Tell us the mounting height, the cable route and whether a recorder is part of the job. That way you get a complete figure rather than a camera-only number.
Need this installed in Lahore?
Send the model number on WhatsApp for the current price, availability and a full installation quote.
