LPR & ANPR Cameras

LPR cameras — also called ANPR — are built to read vehicle number plates rather than to give a general view. They use a narrower field of view, faster shutter behaviour and their own illumination so a plate stays legible when a car is moving and its headlights are pointing at the lens. A standard bullet camera aimed at a gate will not do this reliably, which is the most common disappointment we are asked to fix.
