About the 2 Megapixel AI Network Bullet Camera
The PLC 422M AI IR3 PM is a Full HD network bullet on a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor, with 30-metre infrared and the same face detection, line crossing and region intrusion functions as the higher-resolution cameras in the series. It is the practical option when a site needs several outdoor views and a long recording history rather than the finest possible detail, since 1920 × 1080 streams are lighter on disk than 4 MP or 8 MP. Power can be DC12V or PoE. The trade-off is fixed detail: what the frame does not resolve at the time cannot be recovered by enlarging it later.
Key benefits
- Full HD streams stretch recorder capacity further when many cameras share one disk
- Infrared to 30 metres covers gates, porches and small yards
- Same detection functions as the higher resolution cameras in the series
- 1/2.8-inch sensor collects light over a larger area than 1/3-inch parts
- IP67 body is rated for outdoor dust and rain
- DC12V or 802.3af PoE power suits both retrofit and new wiring
Where it works well
- Shop and warehouse entrances needing several outdoor views
- Rented houses and portions where cost per camera matters
- Society street poles covering gates and pedestrian entries
- Small offices in Township and Faisal Town covering all doors
- Site offices and under-construction plots needing overnight coverage

Frequently asked questions
How does this compare with the 2 MP analog dual-light cameras?
Both record 1920 × 1080, but this is a network camera needing data cabling and an NVR, while the dual-light models run on coax with a DVR. This one lists ONVIF support and the AI detection functions; the analog dual-light models list a built-in microphone and switchable AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS output, which this one does not. Existing cabling usually decides it. Ask on WhatsApp at +92 300 0030132.
Can all my cameras run from one PoE switch?
Each camera draws power to the IEEE802.3af standard, and a switch has a total power budget shared across its ports. A switch that has enough ports does not automatically have enough power for every port at once. Give us the final camera count and we will specify a switch that covers it.
Will it keep recording if the internet goes down?
Yes. Footage is written to the NVR on site, so a broken internet link stops remote viewing on your phone but not the recording itself. Once the connection returns, remote access resumes.
Does it capture faces on its own?
Face detection and face capture are listed for this model, so it can pick out and store face images from the scene. How well that works depends on mounting angle, distance and lighting, which is why entrance cameras are usually set closer to head height rather than looking steeply down. We tune this at commissioning.
