About the Guardian Bulb - 3MP Smart Wi-Fi Bulb PT Camera

This one screws into a standard E27 light holder, which is the entire idea: no drilling, no bracket and no cable run, just a socket that already has power. It produces 2304×1296 video, pans 352 degrees and tilts 46.5 degrees, and switches between infrared and full-colour night modes out to 10 metres. Two-way audio and human body filtering are handled through the Cloud Edge app. Note that it is specified for indoor use between -10°C and 40°C, so a Lahore veranda in June sits outside the manufacturer's rated range.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work as a room light as well?

The published feature list describes 12 infrared and white LEDs at 6000K or above for night vision, and does not list a separate room-lighting mode. Plan on it occupying the socket as a camera rather than replacing your lamp. If that holder is the only light point in the room, tell us on WhatsApp and we will suggest an alternative mounting approach.

Can I fit it outside under the porch?

The specification places it indoors, with an operating range of -10°C to 40°C and no IP rating listed. A Lahore summer under a porch will pass 40°C comfortably, and driven rain would reach the socket. For outdoor pan-tilt coverage, the IP66-rated Wi-Fi or 4G models in the Guardian range are the correct choice.

What network does it need?

It works on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi under IEEE 802.11 b/g/n at up to 54Mbps. The manufacturer quotes a wireless working distance of 120 metres or more, which applies in open conditions and drops sharply through brick walls. Pairing is done by QR code from the Cloud Edge app on Android or iOS.

Where is the video stored?

Either on a TF card up to 128GB inside the camera, or in the cloud storage service offered through the app. ONVIF is also supported, so it can be pulled into compatible recording software if you already run one. Card recording is what most home users end up using.
