About the 16 Megapixel 180° Panoramic Network Camera
Four 4 MP modules are stitched into a single 16 MP panorama at 5520 × 2400, which is how this camera holds a 180° scene on one IP address and one cable. Pollo quote coverage of up to 7,800 m² and face handling of up to 100 faces per second within a 278 m² area, so the design intent is crowds rather than a quiet street. Starlight low-light performance is backed by 30 m Smart IR, with DWDR, 3D DNR, BLC and HLC on the image side. It is a fixed camera, though — a panorama replaces zoom, it does not add it.
Key benefits
- A single 16 MP panoramic stream at 5520 × 2400 replaces several separate fixed cameras
- Manufacturer-rated coverage of up to 7,800 m² suits halls, yards and assembly areas
- Crowd density, mask status, line crossing and intrusion alarms are handled on the camera
- Five e-PTZ zones let operators pull close views out of the panoramic image
- IP67 and IK10 metal housing rated from −30 °C to 60 °C tolerates exposed mounting
- One IP and one cable, running on PoE+ (802.3at, Class 3) or DC 12V
Where it works well
- Entrance plaza of a shopping mall in Lahore
- Assembly area or canteen of a large factory
- College ground where students gather between classes
- Wide car park that needs one overview camera
- Hall courtyard during event and Friday crowds

Frequently asked questions
Can I zoom into the panorama the way I would with a PTZ?
Only digitally. The camera supports five e-PTZ zones, which crop and enlarge part of the existing 5520 × 2400 image rather than moving optics. That is genuinely useful for pulling a closer view out of a wide scene, but it will never match a PTZ with 33× or 45× optical zoom. Many sites end up using a panoramic camera for coverage and one PTZ for detail.
What kind of switch does it need?
The feature list specifies PoE+ (802.3at, Class 3), with DC 12V as the alternative input. A basic 802.3af switch is not the right choice here. Send us the model of your existing switch on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether it can carry the camera or whether an injector is the cleaner solution.
How much recording storage should I plan for?
More than a standard 2 MP camera, because a 16 MP stream is simply larger. The honest answer is that storage depends on your frame rate, compression setting and how many days of footage you want to keep, so quoting a figure without those is guesswork. We size the recorder and disks after agreeing retention with you.
Is it really suitable for a crowded venue?
That is what it is designed around. The manufacturer quotes crowd coverage up to 7,800 m² and face handling of up to 100 faces per second within a 278 m² area, with alarms available on crowd density limits and mask status. How well those functions perform in your specific venue depends on mounting height and angle, which we work out during the survey.
