Sixteen analog channels record at up to 8MP, eight IP channels match that resolution, and the HDMI output runs at 4K so the detail is visible live rather than only on zoom. Frequently asked questions

Do I need 8MP cameras to use this recorder?

No, the analog channels are backward compatible with lower resolution TVI, AHD and CVI cameras, so a mixed installation works. You only get 8MP recording from cameras that actually produce 8MP. Many sites fit 8MP at the critical points and keep lower resolution elsewhere.

What does the 4K output change in practice?

It lets the monitor show more of the detail the cameras capture, instead of scaling everything down to 1080P on the live view. That matters where someone watches in real time at a control desk. It needs a 4K monitor connected over HDMI to be of any use.

Are two drive bays enough for sixteen 8MP cameras?

That depends on the retention you need and whether recording is continuous or event-based. Two bays give considerably more room than a single-bay recorder and H.265 compression helps, but 8MP is data-hungry by nature. We work this out before quoting, so share your requirement on WhatsApp.

Will my existing coaxial cable carry 8MP?

Analog HD signals at 8MP are more demanding on cable quality and run length than 1080P. Thin or aged cable, and joints made during earlier work, are the usual causes of a picture that flickers or drops out. We check existing cabling before recommending an 8MP upgrade on a retrofit.
