In almost every case, yes. A PTZ that is zoomed into a gate cannot simultaneously watch the back wall, so it is best treated as the detail camera rather than the whole system. We normally combine one PTZ with fixed cameras on the fixed risk points, then let the PTZ handle investigation and follow-up.
