A SIM card, not a router, is what keeps this camera online. The Guardian Apex 4G runs on an integrated 4G LTE Cat-1 module, so it suits plots, farmhouses and under-construction sites around Lahore where no broadband line exists yet. The 3MP sensor records at 2304×1296 through a 4mm lens, and the pan-tilt head sweeps 336° horizontally and 90° vertically from the app. The honest trade-off is bandwidth: uplink tops out at 5Mbps and video runs at 15fps, so remote viewing consumes mobile data and will not match a wired camera's smoothness.

Does it need Wi-Fi or a router at the site?

No. The camera has a built-in 4G LTE Cat-1 module and runs on a SIM inserted into the unit. You will need an active data package on that SIM and reasonable signal at the mounting position. Message us on WhatsApp and we can discuss which network tends to work in your area.

How much mobile data will it use?

That depends on how often you open the live view and how much motion the camera records. Downlink is capped at 10Mbps and uplink at 5Mbps, and the H.265 compression helps, but continuous streaming to a phone will still work through a data bundle steadily. Most owners rely on motion alerts and short clips rather than watching live all day.

Will it keep recording if the SIM data finishes?

Local recording continues to the microSD card, which takes up to 128GB, because that does not depend on the network. What stops is remote live view, push notifications and cloud upload until the package is renewed.

Can it show colour at night?

Yes. It carries infrared LEDs and white LEDs with an automatic pendulum IR-CUT filter, so it can run in infrared black-and-white or full-colour mode. Rated night coverage is up to ten metres, so mount it where the area you care about falls within that distance.

How are the pan and tilt controlled?
