About the TouchHub - Indoor Home Security Command Terminal

Think of TouchHub as the screen and intercom point of a system, not the recorder. The 7-inch capacitive IPS panel runs on Linux, shows up to four camera feeds at once, and can be bound to as many as 16 IP cameras and five indoor extensions. It accepts streams up to 6MP with H.265+ handling, and takes power from PoE or DC 12V while drawing under 6W. The limitation to plan for is placement: it is a wall-mounted indoor unit on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or 100Mbps Ethernet, so the mounting point needs a cable or solid signal.

Does TouchHub record video by itself?

It is built as a display and control terminal, not a recorder with hard disk bays. Micro-SD storage up to 256GB is supported and it shows live feeds from bound IP cameras, but a site needing long retention should still run a DVR or NVR alongside. We normally pair it with a recorder and use the panel for viewing and talk-back.

How many cameras can it show at the same time?

Up to four channels display live together on the 7-inch screen. The unit can be bound to as many as sixteen IP cameras in total, so you switch between groups rather than seeing all sixteen at once.

Can it run on Wi-Fi instead of a LAN cable?

Yes, it supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi as well as 100Mbps Ethernet. For a panel carrying four live video streams we generally recommend the Ethernet cable, since a wired link is steadier and can also deliver PoE power to the same point.

Will it work with the door terminals?
