About the 16 Megapixel 360° Panoramic Network Camera

Where a 180° camera leaves the ground behind it uncovered, this model stitches eight 1080P modules into a full 360° image at 16 MP (4096 × 1800 × 2). Circular infrared illumination covers 360° horizontally and 90° vertically to 30 m, and sixth-generation Starlight with HDR deals with mixed lighting. A 4 TOPS deep-learning engine with 8 GB DDR memory drives human and vehicle detection and leaves headroom for later analytics. The catch is power: it requires PoE++ (802.3bt, Class 6) or a DC 24V / AC 24V supply, so an ordinary PoE switch will not run it.

Frequently asked questions

Will my existing PoE switch power this camera?

Most likely not. The specification calls for PoE++ (802.3bt, Class 6), with DC 24V or AC 24V as alternatives, and standard 802.3af or 802.3at ports do not deliver that. This is the single most common surprise on a panoramic installation. Send us your switch model on WhatsApp before ordering and we will confirm what needs to change.

How do I decide between this and the 180° 16 MP model?

It comes down to where the camera can sit. If it can be mounted centrally with activity all around it, the 360° version covers everything from one point. If the camera has to sit against a wall or on a boundary, half of a 360° view is wasted and the 180° model is the better buy. The 180° model also runs on PoE+ rather than PoE++.

Does it consume eight recorder channels?

No. The eight modules are stitched inside the camera and it operates with one IP address and one video interface, so your recorder sees a single device. Storage still needs to account for a 16 MP stream, which is considerably larger than an ordinary channel.

Why does it have a heater and fan?

The housing includes both, alongside IP67 and IK10 ratings, so the camera can work across a wide temperature range. In Lahore the heater matters far less than the fan and the sealing, though it does help with condensation on cold winter mornings on exposed rooftops. Treat it as build quality rather than as a feature you are paying extra for.
