Working inside a gated society
Bahria Town is a managed, gated development with controlled entry points and its own maintenance and security arrangements. For CCTV work that is good news for residents, and it changes how the installation day is scheduled, because a team arriving with ladders, drills and cable drums cannot simply turn up at the barrier.

Developer-built villas make camera planning predictable
Much of the housing here is builder-constructed to a limited set of standard designs, so 5 marla, 10 marla and 1 kanal villas repeat across a sector with the same porch position, the same stair location and the same boundary wall height. Once we have surveyed one of a given design, positions on the next are close to a known quantity, which shortens the survey and reduces guesswork.
What is not standard is what sits around your villa. A corner unit, a house backing onto a park or a green belt, and a unit on a through-street each need different rear and side coverage from the same floor plan. The gate, the porch, the side passage, the stair to the roof and the rear boundary are the five points we settle first.
Sector streets are generally well lit, but boundary-wall and rear-lane shots still fall outside useful street light. That is a straight choice between infrared and full-colour or dual-light cameras, and it is worth making deliberately rather than accepting whatever comes in a package.

Villa owner, apartment owner or landlord: what you can actually cover
- Your own villa — Boundary wall, gate pillars, porch, driveway, roof parapet and interior are yours to cover as you wish, with sensible aiming away from neighbouring courtyards.
- Apartment and multi-unit blocks — An individual owner can normally cover their own door and their own balcony. Lobbies, lifts, stairwells and basement parking are a building management scope, not an owner scope.
- Anything on society property — Street poles, park railings, green belts and sector entry structures belong to the society. Mounting there needs written permission from Bahria’s management, not just a neighbour’s agreement.
- Rented villas — Where the owner lives abroad and the villa is tenanted, agree in writing who holds the recorder, who has app access and what happens at the end of the tenancy.
- Privacy between neighbours — Villa plots sit close together and gates face each other across narrow streets. We mask the neighbour’s frontage as standard rather than waiting for a complaint.
Overseas owners and remote viewing

Many Bahria owners are outside Pakistan. We set up remote access with named accounts and test it before handover, because a system nobody can see from overseas is only half installed.
Give the caretaker limited access
The caretaker or tenant can be given a restricted account covering the gate and street only, while the owner keeps full access to playback and settings.
Backup keeps the view alive
The recorder, PoE switch and router all need to be on backed-up power, otherwise recording continues while your remote view goes dark during an outage.

The society already has security and cameras. Do I still need my own?
Society patrolling and any society cameras cover common areas rather than the inside of your boundary wall, your porch, your parking or your roof access. The two are complementary rather than a substitute for each other.
Can I watch my villa from another country?
Yes. We configure remote access, create separate accounts for the owner and the caretaker, and test the view on a mobile network before handover.
Can you protect a plot where construction has not started?
A solar 4G camera on the boundary wall or on a pole inside the plot records without any cabling or electricity connection, which suits vacant and stop-start construction sites.
