An owner can normally cover their own door and their own parking slot. Lobbies, lifts, stairwells and basements are a building management scope and need to be raised with the committee.
Cavalry Ground and Saddar retail

Permissions, Gate Entry and Sensitive Aiming
Inside your own boundary wall, on your own gate pillars, porch and parapet, installation is routine. Anything on a shared corridor, a common wall, a society pole or a street pole is not yours to mount on, and in the Cantt that approval sits with the Cantonment Board or with the housing scheme’s management rather than with an individual resident.
Aiming needs a second thought here that it does not need in an ordinary LDA scheme. We do not point cameras at military installations, checkpoints, gates or perimeters, and where a rooftop view unavoidably takes in such an area we mask it inside the camera before commissioning. If there is any doubt about whether a view is acceptable, we would rather ask the question first than mount it and argue later.
Team access is the other practical point. Several Cantt and Askari entry points check visitors, so we ask the resident to intimate the gate before the survey and our technicians carry CNIC.

Design Points That Come Up Again and Again in the Cantt
- Trees versus infrared — Old Cantt gardens are full of mature trees. Foliage close to an infrared camera throws the light straight back and washes the picture out, so we either move the camera or use a full colour dual light unit that works with the existing lane lighting.
- Long runs on deep plots — Past roughly 100 metres, network cable stops being reliable. A small switch in a weatherproof box near the gate, or fibre to a second point, is the correct answer.
- Generator changeover and surges — Properties on generator backup put electrical noise and switching spikes through the supply. Surge protection at the rack and clean earthing keep switches and recorders alive.
- Privacy masking towards neighbours and staff quarters — Boundary walls sit close together in parts of the Cantt. We mask neighbouring doors, courtyards and staff quarter windows out of the frame as standard.

My gate is a long way from the house. Will one cable reach?
Past about 100 metres, standard network cable is not dependable. We put a small PoE switch in a weatherproof enclosure near the gate, or run fibre to a second point, which is both cheaper and more reliable than fighting a marginal run.
Do you repair a system installed by another company?
Yes. We service Pollo Security equipment whoever installed it, whether it is a camera offline, a DVR not recording, a failed hard disk or a mobile view that stopped connecting after an ISP change.
How long will the recorder keep footage?
That depends on channel count, resolution, frame rate and hard disk size, and we size it to the number of days you ask for at survey. Tell us the retention you want and we will specify the disk accordingly.
