Residential CCTV
Home CCTV Installation in Lahore
Cameras planned around your gate, your street and your roof access — not a fixed package pulled off a shelf. Survey, supply, installation and phone setup for houses across Lahore.

What a Home System in Lahore Has to Cover
Most families in Lahore buy cameras after something happens nearby — a bike lifted from outside a gate, a snatching at the corner, or a break-in two houses down the lane. The system that helps afterwards is the one planned around how the house is actually used, not the one with the biggest number printed on the box.
A house is not one risk, it is four or five. The street outside the gate, the gate itself, the side passage nobody walks down, the roof stairs, and the rear wall or back gate that opens onto an empty plot. A four-camera package covers the first two and leaves the rest open, which is why we survey before quoting.
Every camera, recorder and accessory is Contact for Price. Send your plot size and a photo of the gate to WhatsApp on WhatsApp and we will come back with a scope and a package figure.
How Many Cameras a Lahore House Usually Needs
Treat this as a typical starting scope confirmed at survey, never as a fixed quotation. A corner plot, a back gate, a servant quarter or a double-height porch all change the count.
| Plot size | Typical cameras | Recorder | Usually covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 to 5 marla | 4 to 6 | 4ch or 8ch | Street and gate, main door, stairs to the roof, rear wall or backyard |
| 8 to 10 marla | 6 to 8 | 8ch | Gate and driveway, main door, both side passages, roof access, back gate |
| 1 kanal | 8 to 12 | 8ch or 16ch | Front gate and driveway, both side walls, back gate, servant quarter door, entrance lounge, roof stairs, store |
| 2 kanal and above | 12 to 24 | 16ch or 32ch | Full boundary run, both gates, lawn, porch, internal entry points, usually a small rack with a PoE switch |
Why Bigger Plots Are Not Just More Cameras
On a kanal or two kanal house the distance from the front gate to wherever the recorder sits — usually a store room or the lounge cupboard — regularly approaches the 100 metre limit for a single Ethernet run. Past that point the honest fix is a small PoE switch near the gate feeding the front cameras back on one link, not a longer cable and a hope.
Deep setbacks are the other kanal-house problem. A camera on the parapet looking at a gate 15 metres away gives you a figure, not a face. We normally mount gate cameras at head height on the pillar or the wall so that the face and the clothing are usable, and keep the wide overview shot as a second camera.
Where the Cameras Actually Go
Street and gate
The most valuable camera in the house. Mounted around head height, aimed slightly across the approach so you get a face and not the top of a helmet.
Driveway and porch
Covers the car, the doorbell and anyone who steps inside the gate. Also the camera that settles most delivery and visitor questions.
Side passages
The narrow strip along the boundary wall that nobody uses is exactly where someone climbs. A single camera down the length of it is usually enough.
Back gate and servant quarter
Second entry points are routinely left out of cheap packages and are routinely the way in. Worth a dedicated camera on each.
Roof and stair head
Roof access from an adjoining wall is a common Lahore entry route. One camera on the stair head tells you if anyone came down into the house.
Entrance hall inside
One indoor camera at the entrance covers the internal risk without turning the house into a monitored space. Bedrooms, bathrooms and family areas stay off limits.
Load Shedding, Inverters and What Keeps Recording
LESCO supply in Lahore still brings both scheduled and unscheduled outages, along with low-voltage and fluctuation complaints in several localities. A camera system that stops during an outage is missing exactly the window people ask about afterwards.
Rooftop solar has changed the survey question in Lahore homes. With net-metered rooftop capacity in Pakistan reaching roughly 6,978 MW by June FY2026 and net-metering connections passing 250,000 in early 2026, a large share of houses now have a hybrid inverter and a battery bank already. So the question is no longer whether you have a UPS — it is whether the socket feeding the recorder is on the backed-up circuit or the raw grid circuit.
Two details get missed even in well-equipped homes. First, the internet router and ONU must be on backup too, otherwise recording continues but the phone app goes dark during the outage. Second, long external and rooftop runs need surge protection and proper earthing, because fluctuation and lightning damage on outdoor cabling is a real failure mode here, not a theoretical one.
Night Vision on a Poorly Lit Lane
Many Lahore streets have weak or intermittent lighting, which makes the night-time camera choice a genuine design decision rather than a spec sheet line. Infrared gives you a clean grey image and is the safe default, but it strips colour — you will see a person, not the colour of the shirt or the number plate paint.
Full colour cameras keep colour at night but need their own warm light to do it, which some families find intrusive at a bedroom-facing wall. Dual-light cameras sit in between, running infrared normally and switching to white light when something is detected. Active deterrence models add a light and siren for boundary walls and back gates.
We normally recommend colour or dual-light at the gate and the driveway where identification matters, and plain infrared on side passages and the roof where you only need to know that someone is there.
How the Installation Runs
Survey and camera marking
We walk the plot, mark each position, agree the cable route and check where the recorder can sit safely and stay cool.
Scope and package quote
You receive an itemised scope with camera count, recorder channels, storage days, cable metres and labour, priced against your job.
Cabling
In a finished house this is usually casing or trunking along the boundary and a roof-level route. You see the route before we start, because retrofit cabling in an already-plastered house is visible work.
Mounting and sealing
Brackets fixed, cable entries sealed with proper glands and junction boxes, since monsoon water gets in at the box and the cable entry, not through the camera body.
Night angle check
Angles and exposure are re-checked after dark. A gate camera that looks perfect at 4pm can be washed out by a street light at 9pm.
Handover
App set up on the family phones, playback and clip export demonstrated, and the recorder password changed to something only you hold.
Neighbours, Privacy and Street Cameras
The most common local dispute about home cameras in Lahore is not theft, it is aiming. A camera that overlooks a neighbour’s courtyard, rooftop or a family area causes trouble that lasts far longer than the installation. We aim cameras inside your own boundary wherever possible and apply privacy masking to any part of the frame that falls on a neighbouring property as standard practice.
Street-mouth cameras funded jointly by the residents of a lane are a normal pattern in DHA, Model Town, Johar Town and Iqbal Town. They work best when there is a written scope, one nominated person who holds the footage, and an agreement on who pays for the internet connection and the electricity. Anything mounted on a shared pole, a street-light pole or a society green belt needs the society or authority’s permission first — those poles are not the residents’ property.

Frequently asked questions
How many cameras do I need for a 5 marla house in Lahore?
Four to six is the usual starting scope on a 4ch or 8ch recorder — street and gate, main door, roof stair head, and the rear wall or backyard. If you have a back gate or a rented portion upstairs, expect the count to move towards six or seven.
Can I watch my house cameras from another country?
Yes, through the recorder's app once your home internet is working, and the practical limit is your upload speed rather than the camera. Load shedding is the usual reason viewing drops, because the router loses power even though the recorder keeps recording on backup.
Will the system keep recording during load shedding?
Only if the recorder and its switch are on a backed-up circuit or a dedicated mini-UPS. If you already have a hybrid inverter, we move the recorder point to the backed-up side; if not, we size a small UPS for the recorder, switch and router together.
Can you install cameras I have already bought?
Yes. We do installation-only jobs, but we check the cameras, cable type and recorder first so we are not asked to guarantee an outcome on hardware that cannot deliver it. If existing equipment is faulty, that becomes a repair job instead.
Do home cameras record sound?
Many cameras have a microphone, but we normally leave audio disabled unless you specifically ask for it. Recording the conversations of visitors and domestic staff is a sensitive matter and most families prefer video only.
How many days of recording will I get?
It depends on the number of cameras, the resolution, the frame rate and whether the recorder runs continuous or motion-based recording. Tell us how many days you want to keep and we size the hard disk to it rather than guessing.
Do you offer wireless cameras for a house that is already finished?
WiFi cameras avoid data cabling and suit indoor points and small houses, but they still need power at each position and a reliable router signal at the wall. For gates and boundary walls on a larger plot, wired remains the more dependable choice.
What does a home CCTV package cost in Lahore?
We do not publish figures because camera count, cable length, storage days and mounting work change the total significantly. Send your plot size on WhatsApp and you will get a proper package figure rather than a guess.
