The PLC 432M AI IR3 PM is a Full HD vandal-resistant dome, 1920 × 1080 on a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor with 30-metre infrared and an IK10 housing. It is the sensible pick where a building needs a lot of cameras on one recorder and every extra megapixel multiplies storage across the channel count. The compromise shows up when you need to enlarge a face at the far end of a long hall. The 4 MP vandal dome in the same series has more pixels for that, and both share the IK10 housing and 30-metre infrared, so it is detail against storage. Prices for either are confirmed on WhatsApp.

How much disk does a Full HD channel consume?

It varies with bitrate, frame rate, compression setting and how busy the scene is, so there is no single figure. What we can do is work backwards from your requirement. Tell us the channel count and how many days of footage you want retained, and we will suggest a recorder and disk size.

Does the IK10 rating cover the cable as well?

No, the rating applies to the camera housing. The cable is protected by how it is run, which is why we route it through the mount or inside conduit rather than leaving a loop exposed under the camera. That detail is decided during the site survey.

Can it be mounted on a wall rather than a ceiling?

It can, though domes are designed primarily for ceiling and soffit fixing and a wall position may need appropriate mounting hardware. IP67 sealing means a covered outdoor wall is within specification. Tell us the position on WhatsApp and we will confirm what the fitting requires.
