About the 2 Megapixel Network Dome Camera

Domes get chosen for two reasons in Lahore: they sit flush against a ceiling or soffit without drawing attention, and there is no exposed body for someone to twist out of position. This one gives 1920 × 1080 from a 1/3-inch sensor, 30 metres of infrared, and an IP67 rating that lets it go under an open verandah or car porch as well as indoors. Mounting takes more care than a bullet — if the dome sits too close to a wall or beam, the infrared bounces back and hazes the picture. Aim it during installation, because re-aiming later means opening the housing again.

Frequently asked questions

Dome or bullet for my shop?

A bullet is obvious and works as a visible warning; a dome is discreet and gives away little about which direction it is pointing. Inside a shop, where you do not want the camera dominating the ceiling, the dome usually wins. Outside on a wall or pole, the bullet is easier to mount and aim.

The night picture has a white haze at the top. Why?

That is almost always infrared bouncing off something close to the dome — a wall, a beam, a soffit edge, or a dirty dome cover. Moving the camera a few inches clear of the obstruction usually fixes it. Regular cleaning of the cover makes a visible difference too.

Will it work with the NVR I already have?

It supports ONVIF, the common language most recorders speak, so it will generally record to an existing NVR of another brand. Detection rules and finer settings may still need the camera's own interface. Tell us your NVR model on WhatsApp and we will check before you commit.

Can I install it outside?

IP67 covers dust and water, so an outdoor position is within specification. In practice a spot under a soffit or porch edge keeps rain off the dome cover and keeps the picture cleaner for longer, which matters through the monsoon weeks.
