About the 28-Port Gigabit PoE Network Switch with 2 SFP
A twenty-four camera site needs a switch that will not become the bottleneck itself. This 1U unit gives you 24 Gigabit PoE ports for the cameras, two Gigabit RJ45 uplinks and two SFP slots for the run back to the NVR or the core switch, with 56 Gbps of non-blocking switching behind them. The trade-off worth understanding before you order is power rather than data: the PoE budget is 400 W in total, so twenty-four ports each pulling the full 30 W is not achievable. Available in Lahore, with pricing confirmed on WhatsApp.
Key benefits
- Twenty-four Gigabit PoE ports run camera data and power over one cable per device
- 56 Gbps switching capacity and 41.66 Mpps forwarding keep every port at wire speed
- Two SFP slots take single-mode or multi-mode modules when copper distance runs out
- Rack, wall and desktop mounting options suit a proper cabinet or a cupboard shelf
- 4 KV lightning protection on the ports, with an IP30 housing rated for indoor racks
- Jumbo frames to 9.6K and a 4 MB buffer help with sustained video traffic
Where it works well
- Twenty-plus camera system across a commercial plaza on Ferozepur Road
- Main rack of a factory CCTV network in Sundar Industrial Estate

Frequently asked questions
Can I run all 24 cameras at 30 W each?
No. A single port can deliver up to 30 W, but the switch carries a 400 W total PoE budget shared across all 24 ports. The figure to work with is the rated draw of your actual cameras added together, not the per-port maximum. Send us the model list on WhatsApp and we will run that sum with you before you commit.
Are the SFP modules supplied with the switch?
The two SFP slots are supplied empty and the modules are ordered to match your fibre. Single-mode and multi-mode are both supported, and the optical reach depends entirely on the module chosen, up to 120 km at the top end. Tell us the distance and fibre type on WhatsApp and we will quote the matching pair.
How far can I take a camera on copper from this switch?
Up to 100 metres over Cat3 to Cat5e UTP, which is the rated transmission distance for the copper ports. Beyond that you either move to fibre through the SFP slots or place a second switch closer to the cameras. On plaza and campus jobs, fibre between blocks is usually the cleaner answer than chaining copper.
Will it fit a standard rack, and does it need a separate power supply?
It is a 19-inch 1U unit, so it occupies one space in a normal cabinet, and desktop or wall mounting is supported if you have no rack. The AC power supply is built in and accepts 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz, so there is no external brick to place. LED indicators cover power, link, PoE and fibre status for quick checks at the rack.
