Line crossing and region intrusion detection run in the camera, so an ONVIF recorder from another brand still receives the event. Worth knowing: IP67 is a water and dust rating, not an impact rating, so treat the dome as discreet rather than tamper-resistant.

Where does a 3 MP dome make more sense than 2 MP?

In rooms where a single camera has to cover a wide area, such as a showroom, a hall or a long counter. At 2304 × 1296 you get about a fifth more horizontal pixels than 1080p across the same view, which usually means one fewer camera on a large floor. In a small shop or corridor the difference is not worth paying for.

Can I mix these domes with bullet cameras on one recorder?

Yes, and most real installations do exactly that: domes inside and under cover, bullets on outer walls and gates. As long as the recorder has enough PoE ports and channel capacity, mixing housings and even resolutions is normal. We plan the mix around what each position actually needs to see.

Does it give full colour at night indoors?

It has dual-light illumination with a full-colour night option, effective to 30 metres, plus a 0.02 lux colour rating. In a room with any security lighting left on, colour is usually achievable; in a fully dark hall the white light element has to come on for colour, otherwise the camera falls back to infrared and monochrome. How that behaves is a configuration choice.

Is the dome housing tamper-proof?

No, and it should not be sold as such. IP67 describes protection against water and dust, and no impact rating is quoted for this model. A dome is less obvious and harder to knock out of aim than a bullet, but the reliable defence is mounting height and position.
