About the 4 Megapixel Network Bullet Camera (PLC 424P AU IR3 PM)
Most house and shop positions are closer than people assume, and for those this is the sensible 4 MP choice. It pairs a 1/2.7-inch sensor with 2560 × 1440 recording and 30 metres of infrared, which covers a car porch, a shop front or a stair approach. Compared with the 50-metre version, you give up night-time reach and gain a physically larger sensor, which generally helps in mixed lighting. If your camera is watching the far end of a long plot, this is the wrong one — say so on WhatsApp and we will point you at the longer-range model.
Key benefits
- Larger 1/2.7-inch sensor gathers more light than the 1/3-inch 4 MP alternative
- 2560 × 1440 recording leaves room to zoom into a saved clip afterwards
- Thirty-metre infrared is sufficient for porches, shop fronts and short driveways
- Accepts DC12V or PoE, useful when reusing an existing power box
- IP67 housing tolerates direct rain and dust on an outer wall
Where it works well
- Front gate of a 10-marla house in Johar Town
- Shop entrance facing a service road in Anarkali
- Office corridor entrance on an upper floor
- Car porch covering two vehicles and the gate
- Small godown door on a commercial plot

Frequently asked questions
There are two 4 MP bullets. What is the actual difference?
This one has the larger 1/2.7-inch sensor with 30 metres of infrared. The other uses a 1/3-inch sensor with 50 metres. Put simply, this is the better close-range picture and that one is the longer night reach. The distance to the far end of your scene decides it.
Do I have to buy a PoE switch?
No. This model takes DC12V as well as PoE to IEEE802.3af, so an existing power box will work. PoE is still tidier for new work, because one cable does both jobs and there is no adaptor sitting outdoors waiting to fail.
How does it perform in Lahore smog and winter fog?
Fog and heavy smog scatter infrared back at the lens, so night range shortens for every IR camera, not only this one. Mounting closer to the subject, slightly lower, and keeping the lens glass clean does more for the picture than adding resolution.
How many of these can my recorder take?
That is set by the NVR's channel count and its total bandwidth and resolution limits, not by the camera. Tell us the recorder model on WhatsApp and we will confirm how many 4 MP streams it can handle before you order.
