Capture is 3840 × 2160 from a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS, the lens runs 4.0–132 mm for 33× optical zoom, and infrared night view is rated to 150 m. That combination suits a medium plot — a factory yard, a school ground, a wide forecourt — rather than a kilometre of unlit boundary. Face detection with capture and comparison, smart tracking of humans and vehicles, line crossing and region intrusion are all supported. If your site is larger than that, the 40× and 45× models step the infrared range up considerably.

How do I know 33× is enough for my site?

Work backwards from the furthest point you actually need to identify, not from the size of the plot. With a 4.0–132 mm lens and a 150 m infrared rating, this model is comfortable across a medium yard or ground. If your furthest point of interest sits well beyond that, the 40× or 45× models are the better fit and we will say so.

How does its low-light performance compare with the 45× models?

This camera uses a 1/2.8" sensor rated at 0.01 lux minimum illumination for daytime colour. The 45× models use a larger 1/1.8" sensor rated at 0.0005 lux, which is a meaningful difference at dusk and under weak site lighting. If your site has reasonable ambient lighting, the difference matters far less than the price gap.

Does the smart tracking run without an operator?

The camera supports smart tracking of humans and vehicles along with detection rules, but the behaviour depends entirely on how the zones and rules are configured. Poorly drawn zones produce constant nuisance alerts and staff then ignore them. We set the rules during commissioning and revisit them once you have seen a week of real activity.
