How is the zoom actually controlled?

The lens is motorised, so zoom and focus are driven from the NVR interface or the mobile app. There is no manual ring to turn on the camera itself. This is the main practical reason people pay more for this version over the fixed-lens dome.

Can it show the wide view and the zoomed view at the same time?

No. A varifocal lens holds one setting at a time, so you choose either the broad approach or the tight gate view. If you need both simultaneously, a second fixed camera on the wide angle is the normal way to do it.

Is this dome impact resistant?

This variant is rated IP67 for water and dust, but the vandal-rated IK10 models in the same Pollo range are the ones specified where the camera can be reached by hand. Mount this one high, or ask us about the IK10 alternatives.

What power does it need?

DC12V or PoE to IEEE802.3af. On a fresh installation we normally run PoE from the switch so the camera and its data share a single cable.
