About the 6 Megapixel Dual-Light Network Dome Camera
Indoors, and anywhere the camera sits within arm's reach, a dome is the sensible body: the lens hides behind a fixed cover and there is nothing obvious to grab or twist. This model records 3200×1800 from a 1/2.5-inch CMOS with 30 metres of dual-light range, and takes a microSD card up to 256GB for recording at the camera itself. The compromise is the cover: it collects dust, and in Lahore that means a wipe every few months before night footage starts to haze over.
Key benefits
- 3K resolution at 3200×1800 covers a wide room without losing face detail
- Enclosed dome cover conceals lens direction and offers little for anyone to tamper with
- microSD up to 256GB records at the camera as a backup to the recorder
- Full-colour or infrared night vision out to 30 metres, selectable to suit the site
- Highlight compensation helps tame glare from headlights and bright shop lighting
- One PoE run per camera keeps ceiling wiring tidy in a finished interior
Where it works well
- Showroom ceiling on a main boulevard in Gulberg
- Reception and waiting area of a private clinic
- Corridors and classrooms inside a school building
- Under the porch slab of a house in Bahria Town
- Cash counter position in a retail shop

Frequently asked questions
Why do dome cameras sometimes wash out at night?
Usually because the infrared light is bouncing back off the inside of the dome cover, or off a wall or ceiling that sits too close to the camera. Leaving clearance around the dome and making sure the cover seats correctly on its gasket resolves most cases. A dusty cover produces the same effect, which is why periodic cleaning matters in this city.
Can this dome be mounted outside?
Yes, the housing is IP67 rated for water and dust. It still performs better under a porch, soffit or eave than fully exposed, because direct sun and constant rain both shorten how long the cover stays clear. For an open boundary wall, the 6MP bullet with the same sensor is normally the better choice.
What is different about the PM-E dome?
The PM-E is the same 6MP dome without microSD support in its listed features. Image specification, dual-light range, IP67 rating and PoE are all stated identically. Choose this PM version if you want footage held on the camera as well as on the recorder.
How many of these can one PoE switch handle?
That depends on the switch's total power budget rather than the camera alone, since this model draws PoE within the 802.3af class. A small eight-port PoE switch usually covers a domestic camera count comfortably, but a full shop or factory layout should be calculated properly. Send us the camera count and cable distances on WhatsApp and we will specify the switch.
