About the Video Wall Controller

Video wall controllers take several sources and arrange them across multiple displays as one continuous canvas, and the PLD 3000 2.5U does that with four HDMI 1.3 outputs supporting up to eight window layers. Its input side is flexible: a switchable group covering HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2, two HDMI 1.4 and four HDMI 1.3, plus a further four HDMI 1.3 inputs with HDCP. Inputs accept up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz. The constraint to plan around is the output side, which tops out at 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz per output, with a custom 2048 x 1920 mode available.

How large a video wall can this drive?

It has four HDMI outputs, which most commonly maps to a two by two wall of displays. Layouts of up to eight window layers can be arranged across those outputs. If you need a wider wall, tell us the screen count on WhatsApp and we will point you at the right configuration.

Can it output 4K to each screen?

No. Inputs accept up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, but each output is capped at 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz, with a custom 2048 x 1920 option. Choose 1080p panels for the wall rather than paying for 4K screens the controller cannot feed at full resolution.

How are layouts changed day to day?

There is a network port for browser-based control, so an operator can rearrange windows from a PC on the same network. RS232 ports are also provided for central control systems and for third-party integration. LED indicators on the unit show status at a glance.

Does it record anything?

No, it is a display device. Recording stays with your DVR, NVR or storage server, and the controller simply presents the sources you feed into it.
